We could not be more stoked for Leila Hurst right now. She just snagged the 2014 ASP wildcard into the Vans US Open of Surfing Women’s WCT, AND her first head-to-toe collection debuts this week! Leila designed the line to be full of go-to styles that can be worn on and off the beach. If you follow her on Instagram, you’ll know that Leila’s a super positive person who has fun everywhere she goes, and these designs reflect her sunny personality with cheerful prints and inspirational slogans. Get it girl—we’ll be cheering you on (in and out of the water) all week!

In “Rebel Yell” in our Womens Fall Zine, we profiled four girls who are doing things their way and kicking ass in the process. First up is Santa Monica skater Lizzie Armanto, a total badass who takes to the bowl today in the Van Doren Invitational. We wish her luck—even though with hair that good, she def doesn’t need it.

She doesn’t need the luck any more, because spoiler alert she won. Even more reason to check her out in the Zine.

We stopped by the Vans pop up store in Huntington Beach at the US Open of Surfing yesterday with Vans Surf team rider Leila Hurst. Leila designed a collection specifically for the event that is available on the beach all week long, and at Jack’s and HSS off Main Street. If you can’t make it out to the event in person you can still pick up the hat and sandals from the collection online, as well as other rad gear made just for the US Open of Surfing
