An overcast sky couldn’t keep us from hitting the beach for a clean-up. We headed to Huntington Beach and met up with the Orange County Coastkeeper organization. The goal? Share the importance of keeping our beaches clean & how to make an impact - with some truly awesome kids. The Vans crew worked with 4 classes from Pio Pico Elementary. They were stoked to be on the beach, of course. It was a school day! Between some impromptu soccer, a helicopter flyby and the group’s annual aerial photo - they collected buckets and buckets of styrofoam, plastic, and paper. Hats off to the OC Coastkeeper team & all the schools, teachers & parents that participated.  -nancy
